STEP 2: Review and Consolidate What You’ve Learned

Now that you’ve built your vocabulary base, it’s time to review and consolidate what you’ve learned. Start by reviewing your flashcards, then start to think about how you can apply them.

In other words, if you’re learning a new word that you’ve encountered in a sentence, think about how it fits into the sentence. Then you can use those examples to write a list of all the words you need to learn.

If you want to learn more, this post will teach you how to use flashcards effectively.

STEP 3: Study Your Vocabulary Lists

Once you’ve consolidated your flashcards, you should start to study your lists. The best way to learn is to review the words that you don’t already know, and you can do this by studying your lists.

This is where you’ll find your most important vocabulary, and it’s a good idea to start reviewing these lists as soon as possible.

STEP 4: Learn New Vocabulary from Movies, Books, and Podcasts

Now that you’ve studied your lists, it’s time to go back and review what you’ve learned. It’s also time to learn new vocabulary, so now’s the time to start watching movies or listening to podcasts in English.

The best way to learn is to watch movies in your native language first. You can then listen to a podcast in English to learn new words as they’re spoken.

STEP 5: Keep Learning!

It’s important to remember that this is a long-term project. You should continue to review your lists and practice with your flashcards and vocabularies.

You can also use this time to study other language learners who have taken a similar approach, or you can use these lessons to teach yourself.

STEP 6: Find Other Ways to Learn English Vocabulary

It’s also important to remember that there are many ways you can learn English vocabulary outside of studying your lists.

You can read books or articles written in English. You can watch TV shows or movies in English. You can use apps like Duolingo to learn vocabulary on the go.

STEP 7: Review Your Lists and Check for Errors

Once you’ve finished your studies, it’s time to review your lists. You’ll want to review all of the words on your lists and make sure you haven’t made any errors.

If you’re studying in a foreign country, it may be harder to spot mistakes. In this case, you should consider hiring an ESL teacher or tutor.
